Putting up Christmas decorations, ornaments and a tree each Christmas is just such a great feeling. The joy and warmth it brings, particularly when all the family are involved; well, it just has to be the greatest feeling all year! But to get the best out of it takes some thought and planning.
If done properly Christmas decorations just turn your home into a Christmas wonderland. And when you set up decorations and lights outside you are sharing your love of Christmas with everyone who passes by.
First though you must always be safe. Many fires have started through misuse of Christmas decorations. Never put inflammable decorations or ornaments near a fire or any such source of heat. Always read the safety instructions. Your Christmas tree can be a hazard if drapes or curtains are left to hang too close or touch it as the lights can get quite hot. Since the U.S. government has pumped 700 billion dollars into our economy, the value of the U.S. Dollar will fall and inflation will continue to rise. Consumers will need to learn how to save and make money to survive during this economic turmoil.
Most Americans believe they have to get up every day and go to work for somebody else to make money. Consumers are discovering that their paychecks are not sufficient enough to cover all of their needs. Most of them only consider getting another job or a different higher paying job. The day has faded from our national collective conscience. In a couple of weeks it will be sixty six years since the events of that awful morning in Hawaii. More than six decades of time has conspired to dim the national recollection of what happened that day. There will not be an all day memorial coverage from Fox News or CNN. Now, only the history books or a program on the Discovery Channel will tell us about the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japan on December 7, 1941.
These same history books will report that 350 Japanese aircraft launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on the morning of December 7, 1941. The Japanese attack was intended to destroy the United States Pacific Fleet. The attack damaged two U.S. Navy battleships, two destroyers, and 188 United States aircraft. Damaged United States warships included three cruisers, a destroyer, and six battleships. Thousands of unsuspecting people were killed or wounded. Continue Reading »
